To install
Win 95
& 98
cursors, Start by downloading the ".cur"
or ".ani" file to your computer.
|
|
|
Right click and "save link as..."
(Netscape) or "save target as..." (Internet Explorer) to /windows/cursors
directory or one that you will remember.
|
|
Then open the Control
Panel from the Start Menu
button, in the lower left portion of your screen. In the Start
Menu select Settings, then
select Control Panel.
|
|
Next double click
on the Mouse icon, it shows a picture of
a computer mouse.
|
|
Then select the tab
labeled Pointers in the Mouse
Properties dialog box (shown at right, click on link or image for
larger view.
|
|
You will see a list
of cursors, each labeled with its usage.
|
|
|
| Normal Select
|
this is your regular mouse
pointer
|
| Help Select
|
the cursor you get when you
use the ? help button
|
| Working In
Background
|
the pointer you have when a
program is working, but you can still click
|
| Busy
|
the cursor when your
computer is busy and you cannot click on anything
|
|
|
|
To change any of
the cursors to one of mine, select that cursor from the
list, click once.
|
|
Click on the
Browse...
button in the lower right and locate the cursor you want
to use on your computer, select it, and click OK.
|
|
This will bring you
back to the Pointers tab. To change more
cursors just repeat this process from the Mouse
Properties-Pointers tab dialog box.
|
|
You may then click
Apply
to see your choice in action and or OK
to finish.
|
|
|
***Animated cursors are best used for the Working In
Background or Busy cursors***
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
To
install 95
& 98
icons download the icon file right click and
"save link as..." or "save target as..."
to a directory that you will remember easily.*
|
|
Right click on a
shortcut on your desktop or task bar.
|
|
At the bottom of
the menu that appears select "Properties".
|
|
On the "Shortcut"
tab, click on the "Change Icon" button.
|
|
In the next window
click on the "Browse" button, and find the icon
file you just downloaded to your computer.
|
|
Select that icon
file "*.ico" and click "OK".
|
|
Click "OK"
again in the next two windows and you are done!
|
|
You should now see
the icon on your desktop or toolbar*.
|
|
|

off-center, these are
specially designed for shortcuts on your desktop!

|
|
|
|

|
To
install Win 95
& 98
screensavers, Start by downloading the
".zip", ".exe." or ".scr" file to your
computer.
|
|
|
|
For a
screen saver to run it must be installed in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory. The default file extension for a screen saver
is " .scr".
|
|
|
|
To install a screen saver from a
EXE
self-extracting file, just double click on the filename
in Windows Explorer.
|
|
|
|
The file should automatically
install the screen saver in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory. Go to the THE LAST STEP.
|
|
|
|
To install a screen saver from a
ZIP
file, you must have WinZip, to download
it click here.
|
|
|
|
Once you have WinZip installed on
your computer, double click on the filename of the screen
saver in Windows Explorer.
|
|
|
|
The WinZip dialog window will come
up, then you should extract the file to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory.
|
|
|
|
THE
LAST STEP:
in an empty space on your desktop, right click and select
properties from the menu.
|
|
|
|
Select the tab labeled Screen
Saver, and scroll down the Screen Saver menu to 'ppgsaver_bynephco', then click OK and your done!
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Installing
Microsoft Plus Windows Themes (Win 95 &
98 ).
For a Theme to run it must be installed or placed in the C:\Program Files\Plus\Themes\ directory. The default file extension for a theme is " .theme".
|
|
|
|
To install a theme from a EXE self-extracting file, download the ".exe" file, then run it. Extract the files to a folder named after the PPG you selected in the "C\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\" folder.
Example: C\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\Buttercup\
|
|
|
|
All the sounds, icons, cursors and graphics should be in a folder named either Bubbles, Blossom or Buttercup in the "C\Program Files\Plus!\Themes" directory. Depending on which girl's theme you chose.
Example: C\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\Bubbles\
|
|
|
|
The ".theme" file should be in the folder: C\Program Files\Plus!\Themes
|
|
|
|
Then you start Plus! and select from the menu the theme you want and click OK or APPLY and your done!
Example: ppgjapan_bubbles.Theme
